Be prepared to prepare
October 1st 2008

The key to creating a durable floor is in the preparation – incorrect preparation will cause problems further down the line, so it is important to get it right.

Large projects requiring stripping, shotblasting, grinding or planning are best left to professional flooring contractors such as The Preparation Group.

However, for smaller projects lightweight machines are available that can grind, key, texture, sand, clean and polish a wide range of surfaces. One machine that can perform all of these tasks is The Preparation Group's STG450 which is used by cleaning contractors for general cleaning and polishing work. It uses durable interchangeable pads which grind or produce a high gloss finish on resin, vinyl, concrete, ceramic tiles, stone, marble or terrazzo, eliminating the need for environmentally unfriendly and costly chemicals, wax or polish.
