Pads grind, sand and clean
August 1st 2007

The Preparation Group has a new range of accessories that extend the capability of its STG450 Surface Texturing and Grinding Machine.

New pads, which are available in a range of grades, mean that the STG450 can now also clean and polish, producing a high gloss finish on old or dull concrete, stone, marble or terrazzo surfaces.

Easy to change without tools, once fitted the pads adjust to irregularities in the floor.Designed to be used primarily dry, with the option of wet applications, for a smooth textured finish, the pads eliminate the need for costly chemicals, wax or polish. The rotating action of the machine head means uniform results are achieved.

"The new pads mean we now offer one machine that can grind, key, texture, sand and clean a wide range of surfaces,"says Paul Igo, technical director at The Preparation Group."Low noise and vibration mean long periods of use won't disturb work areas or cause operator discomfort."
