The de la Pena Group, renowned for its Freddy oil coolant recycling filtration machines, has been awarded exclusive UK distributor partnerships with Wetrok and Hascon

The deal complements its existing portfolio of Eureka sweepers, Comac scrubber dryers and an extensive range of industrial dry vacuums designed for the UK's demanding manufacturing and commercial markets.

Group managing director, Leigh Mason, believes that strategic partnerships are the logical route for UK companies to increase their market share, but warns against the dangers of choosing unwisely.

"We already lead the market for oil coolant recycling and filtration machines and tramp oil separators. Some of the original Freddy machines that were manufactured over twenty five years ago are still working today. That says something about Freddy's design, build quality and longevity. We needed to find partners working in our core market areas with similar quality products.

Our clients rely on our expertise in a marketplace that is incredibly demanding and fickle. To offer substandard brands would damage our reputation. We need to ensure that we link the de la Pena name only to the very best partners. Wetrok and Hascon are market leaders in their own right, so a link with the market-leading Freddy brand is a logical business move for all concerned." The Wetrok portfolio will extend Freddy's growth into the industrial/commercial cleaning markets, while Hascon allows Freddy to complement its industrial vacuum range by offering dust and fume extraction on a larger scale. After bolstering the service team, Freddy now has a dedicated design and installation department that will offer bespoke solutions for fixed vacuum systems and dust and fume applications.

Manufacturing will continue at the Freddy site in Worcestershire, with Wetrok continuing to operate out of its Warrington offices. To assist in facilitating existing Wetrok business and expand into new business areas, Freddy has increased the sales team and installed Paul Maguire, who has over twenty years' industry experience, as national accounts manager.Use the reader enquiry service for further details.
