Takes out chips and curry sauce April 1st 2004 Soda Crystals have been used around the home for more than a century and are a favourite among fish and chip shop owners for cleaning up ground-in chips and curry sauce on floors and pavements.
The company advises Simply pour a mug of crystals into a large bucket of warm water and mop as usual. The solution will dissolve grease and lift dirty marks with ease. At about 89p for a 1kg bag, they are very economical.
As the crystals bio-degrade and contain no phosphates, enzymes or bleach, they are easy on the environment. They are said to be effective on stone, quarry and ceramic floor tiles, as well as vinyl flooring.
However, the company warns that as the crystals may remove any protective varnish or wax coating on tiles, they should only be used on this type of tile if you are preparing the tile for a new coat! More articles from Dri Pak: |
