Leisurely keeping floors clean
April 1st 2009

The Frontrunner entrance flooring system from Plastic Extruders is fronting a new £15m leisure centre at North Ashfield.

A priority for Ashfield Council has been the importance of achieving the highest standards of cleanliness by ensuring that external shoe dirt and wind blown dust is prevented from entering the building.

Frontrunner Plus matting is manufactured with integral absorbent insets within a heelproof vinyl grid. The combination will scrape, clean and dry shoes while any dirt remaining falls through the grid and is not transferred inside.

Another advantage for the leisure centre is that the matting is visitor-friendly, particularly for the less able, because it is heel-proof, stickproof and does not inhibit wheel-chairs.
