Carpet Cleaners Day Out 2009 August 1st 2008 Following this year’s success the Carpet Cleaners Day Out 2009 is all but finalised.Carpet cleaning professionals who want to improve their knowledge – and ultimately – bottom line, should mark 6th April 2009 in their diaries
The practical day is made up of a number of workshops especially designed to give carpet, upholstery and leather cleaner the latest tips and product updates.
Adding to last year’s successful programme, stain removal using household products has been developed as has a quick leather cleaning/repair workshop. Rug cleaning will be covered again but this time it will involve the setting of dyes on highly delicate fabrics along with air compression cleaning. Brand new subjects covered will include:
• ‘How to avoid common mistakes’, by Ken Wainwright
• ‘Pushing your website up the search rankings without paying advertising fees’, by Spencer Davies
• ‘How to cut back on bank charges’ by ex bank manager turned carpet cleaner, Roger Peach
• ‘How to use Google Adwords affectively’, by Neil Granger.
There will be an enhanced selection of suppliers again for those who wish to discuss products or equipment. Most importantly the day will uphold its informal theme – making it relaxed and flexible for visitors to come and go from each session as they please.
According to the organisers, alongside the broad range of commercial and technical tips covered, it is the event’s ‘cooperative ethos’ (genuinely organised by carpet cleaners for carpet cleaners) that make it an unmissible training and networking day.
“This is an event run by carpet cleaners for carpet cleaners and therefore it has that cooperative ethos about it which makes everyone feel very relaxed,” says co-founder and organiser, Pete Sweeney of Oakleaf Carpet Care.
“The sessions are aimed at the everyday running of a business and not just the technical stuff. This means that we go away with not only new ideas about our cleaning techniques but we can become better at running our businesses too. Marketing is extremely important but also very difficult as we have moved on from the days of directories to internet and e-marketing to generate work. It is vital that we understand the many different options available to us and of course, how they work.”
Next years event will be held at the Goodyear pavilion in Wolverhampton on the 6th April. The ticket price remains excellent value at £35 including lunch and light refreshments. To find out more visit www.ccdo.co.uk or contact Jason Hedges on 07721 827163 or Pete Sweeney on 07816 276290 |
