High street dry cleaners are being given the chance to offer customers a new environmentally friendly dry cleaning — without having to invest thousands of pounds in new machines.

Lancashire-based Etiquette Formal Hire has agreed the sole UK rights to the odour-free carbon dioxide cleaners, known as eco2 and is offering them to independent high street cleaners.

"Traditional dry cleaning methods use some pretty nasty chemicals that pose a threat to individuals and to the environment," says Etiquette Operations director Andrew Novak.

"That's the beauty of our eco2 system. It is based on carbon dioxide technology, which is safe, Eliminator Carpet Spotter Towels are a premoistened towel that have been impregnated with a powerful carpet spotting formula.

The towels, from ITW Dymon, are claimed to be a quick and easy way to remove spots, spills and stains from carpet and upholstery.

Suitable for emergency spills, the wipes clean without leaving a residue. Each pack contains 30 26.7cm x 31.1cm premoistened towels.
