Three-step carpet care

Correct maintenance of carpets and upholstery prolongs their life which means lower running and replacement costs. JohnsonDiversey recommends a three-stage cleaning regime

Well-maintained and cleaned carpets and upholstery smell fresh and create a good impression.

JohnsonDiversey offers suggestions to keep them in best-possible condition.

Use high quality vacuum cleaners and spot-removal products regularly.The vacuum cleaner lifts the pile, removes loose dirt and keeps the carpet fresh and looking good. A spot and stain remover, such as JohnsonDiversey's Enhance Spot and Stain Remover, is suitable for common water and oil based marks and is safe on a range of fabrics, including wool.

Intermediate cleaning every two or three months revitalises carpets and upholstery.This can be achieved using dry foam cleaners, such as JohnsonDiversey's Enhance Foam Shampoo. Its reduced drying time allows a room to be back in service in as little as two hours. Intermediate cleaning can eliminate up to 99% of the allergens produced by carpet-dust mites.

Use deep cleaning shampoos, such as Johnson- Diversey's Enhance Extraction Cleaner, to extract stubborn stains and odours.This cleans the carpet down to the base and helps restore its appearance.

Tools should be ergonomic, easy to use and cost effective.

Products such as the Enhance carpet care range have odour neutralising properties which remove smells rather than masking them with overpowering perfumes.
