New dehumidifier addresses problems toughness, quietness and ease of service December 1st 2004 Winter 2004/2005 sees Broughton announce the launch of its specialist dehumidifier for the fire, flood and cleaning industry, the WS60.The unit has had many hours in development and proving ‘on the job’.
During the design, special attention was paid to three specific areas: toughness, quietness and ease of service. New through welded mounting bolts and fixings, allied with acoustically designed body panels manufactured from 1.2mm to 1.5mm steel has resulted in a very tough unit with a particularly low noise level threshold. In terms of quietness the new 60 litre unit is as quiet as the existing 30 litre machine, itself a unit noted for its low noise, and is therefore eminently suitable for drying in a domestic environment.
Finally, servicing of the unit has been greatly improved by the fitting of an opening panel to the rear of the unit that can be accessed in a few moments.
In this way the coil, drip tray and pump (where fitted) can be quickly accessed for ease of cleaning The mobility of the unit has also been improved by the fitting of an unobtrusive high level pram handle that combined with 8 semi-soft wheels makes the manoeuvrability of the 28kg unit that much easier.
Many configurations were used in real working conditions before the optimum position of the handle was realised.Additionally side mounted pocket handles have been fitted to the unit to facilitate ‘straight-back’ lift.
Electronic hour counters are fitted as standard to the WS60, a ‘must’where insurance work is concerned and units can also be pre-wired for automatic purge.A condensate pump is fitted as standard or the unit can be supplied without the unit being pre-wired for subsequent fitting of a pump.
Finally a high pressure air box has been designed for use with the WS60 that enables the user to feed dry, warm air down flexible links into wall cavities, cupboards, under floorboards and so on. More articles from Broughton Electro-Air Products Ltd.: |
