Evolution in dehumidifiers
February 1st 2004

With the release of the new Evolution, Dri-Eaz Products claims to be the first in the industry to pack advanced low grain refrigerant (LGR) technology into a compact-sized dehumidifier. Designed with the restoration professional in mind, the Evolution LGR encompasses the best drying technology and the most functional, user-friendly design features.

The Evolution offers restorers a premier performance, compact dehumidifier thats a highly versatile addition to their drying fleet, said John Ormsby, director of Customer Relations at Dri-Eaz. The Evolutions technology means it will work hard and dry thoroughly, and its user-friendly features mean restorers will want to use it on every job."

Because its an LGR, the Evolution will keep pulling moisture from the air after specific humidity falls below 40 grains per pound where deep drying occurs and when many other dehumidifiers have stopped working.

Portable at only 92 pounds and 33 inches tall, the Evolution is the ideal size to handle a small residential water damage job on its own. Its also great as part of a multiple room drying team placed in combination with larger dehumidifiers to best fit the footprint of a structure. In addition to mitigating water damage, the Evolution is good at controlling moisture in enclosed environments like warehouses and basements; drying carpets after cleaning; and minimising moisture issues during the new construction

process.

A new, durable folding handle makes it easy to manoeuvre on the job, and an improved quick-release hose wrap design greatly minimises kinks. The pump can be accessed quickly and easily for basic maintenance and cleaning. Because it draws only 5.6 amps, the Evolution minimises potential heat issues and can safely be used on the same circuit with other drying equipment.

Filtration and ducting with the multi-functional Evolution are also a snap. The Evolution uses a 3M High Air Flow (HAF) filter made of efficient, electrostatically charged media that captures far more particles than traditional foam. A unique filter door mechanism actually seals the filter in place. Lay flat ducting can be set up easily on the units built-in duct ring.

The rotomolded housing resists rust and dents, and holds up well to rugged use on the job. As with all Dri-Eaz products, the Evolution has been independently tested for safety and is backed by warranty.
