Something in the air tonight
April 1st 2010

Air borne bacteria and viruses are a common source of respiratory infection and a particular threat to infants, the elderly and those with compromised immune or cardiovascular systems, including people with allergies, asthma, AIDS and heart disease.

Some serious infectious diseases are spread by air borne bacteria and untreated air can circulate around rooms, increasing the risk of infecting those who breathe in.

The 2009 Swine Flu outbreak in humans is due to a new strain of Influenza – A Virus subtype H1N1 that contains genes closely related to Swine influenza. Evidence has shown that ozone can have a sanitising effect and kill up to 99.5% of air borne viruses and air borne bacteria, says Vectair.

In nature, ozone is produced by the action of high energy discharges in lightning on oxygen in the atmosphere.

Vectair's Prozone recreates this natural process. The ozone produced destroys harmful micro-organisms with which it comes into contact and breaks down malodour-causing compounds - neutralising the unpleasant smells they produce.

Prozone also destroys bacteria and viruses that occur naturally in the air. Stand 03.121
