The 22nd edition of ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2008 has
4,000 square meters more floor space than the last one adding
up to almost 30,000 sqm.
The truly international character is reflected in the over 600
exhibitors originating from 40 countries.
Since 1967 when the first Interclean was being held, the show has
developed into a landmark trade show. ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam
2008 will be an unforgettable gathering of trade professionals
featuring various special events.
Almost sold-out
With three months to go and much more space than last time, the
show is almost completely sold out.As the leading showcase in the
cleaning industry, ISSA/INTERCLEAN is the launch pad for many,many
innovations, a place to spot emerging trends and above all see the
world's leading products and services. It is also renowned for
networking opportunities.
Different Lay-out
For those familiar with the set up at ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam,
the extra 4,000 sqm. has meant some changes to the lay-out of the
exhibition. Hall 7 will no longer be used as the show occupies three new
halls at the front of the RAI complex,directly adjoining the main square.
The whole event now spans across halls 1-6, 9, 10 and 11.The expansion
has also led to an additional restaurant overlooking the exhibition floor
which will give extra facilities to cater for the growing visitor traffic.
The only truly global show in the industry
In 2006 a total of 25,294 cleaning industry professionals attended the
exhibition from 121 countries worldwide.Of that figure, 60% came
from abroad and 535 exhibitors were attending from 35 countries. Put
simply, ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam is the biggest and only truly
global trade fair in the industry and the most international trade
show for the cleaning industry anywhere in the world.
Seminars
ISSA will be running a series of educational seminars tackling the
major issues affecting the cleaning industry today.The topics include
the science of cleaning with particular attention paid to the
development and deployment of nanotechnology; sustainability and
the REACH legislation; green cleaning and analysis of what are the
respective green imperatives for manufacturers, distributors and end
users respectively; plus a seminar on doing business in the
developing markets of Eastern Europe and China.Attendance fee is
50.
Indoor demonstration area
Floor cleaning machines cannot only be tested on the stand, but
really come to life on the indoor demonstration area, furnished with
different types of floorcovering truly testing the cleaning
effectiveness.Different machines from different manufacturers can be
put to the test here.
ISSA/INTERCLEAN Theatre
In a theatre on the show floor exhibitors will present the latest
innovations, products or services, using the latest audio and visual
equipment. Entrance is free of charge.
Outside Exhibition Area: Street Sweeper Square and
Platform Plaza
For certain companies the exhibition of their products requires extra
space.Therefore, after the successful premier last edition, in 2008
there will be a demonstration area outside the exhibition entrance.
This will allow visitors to view the very latest in specialist window
cleaning equipment including platforms and extending poles. It will
also be a great opportunity to see demonstrations of one of the
show's new features street sweeping and outdoor cleaning
machines.
Innovation Awards 2008
ISSA/INTERCLEAN has become the global industry's showcase for the
development of new cleaning technologies, systems and solutions so
the show's prestigious innovation awards are always hotly contested.
These products will be judged by an international jury of experts. All
the nominated innovations will be displayed in a special pavilion
dedicated to innovation throughout the show.On May 6, the first day
of the show the winner will be announced.The nominees will be
announced in the beginning of March.
Presentation of long-service awards
OSB (the trade association for the cleaning industry), will once again
present long-service awards to persons in the industry on Friday 9
May at ISSA/INTERCLEAN. And cleaning professionals who have
completed the course run by the SVS (the Cleaning Industry Training
Foundation) will receive their diploma during ISSA/INTERCLEAN at
Amsterdam RAI Friday 9 May.
Register in advance for free visitor badge
ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam is accessible free of charge for trade
visitors. Everyone who has received an invitation card can enter his or
her personal code at www.issainterclean.com in order to obtain the
admission badge. Professionals from the cleaning industry who have
not received an invitation card can also register in advance on the
website. Everyone who applies before 1 April 2008 will be sent the
admission badge prior to the exhibition.Those who register after this
date should collect their admission badge from the registration desks during the exhibition.Visitors may also register during the exhibition,
but it may be necessary to queue.

2008 marks the tenth anniversary of the ISSA and Interclean (or if you
like Amsterdam RAI) partnership.This fruitful combination between
the biggest cleaning association in the world and a highly
experienced trade show organiser gave the ISSA/INTERCLEAN shows
the boost to become the No. 1 events al around the globe.
