Onwards and upwards February 1st 2007 Escalator and moving walkway cleaning specialists,ESD, claims to have completed over 3000 escalator cleans to date and lists ISS, Initial, OCS,MacLellan,Westgrove,Thyssen Escalators,Manchester Airport, HSBC, M&S and The Arcadia Group among its clients.
The company says escalators are notoriously difficult to clean properly.Conventional tread cleaning machines are only able to clean the top of the steps, leaving dirty front risers and oily black 'tram lines' on each edge of the step beneath the brush guards.Attempts to clean by hand have proved time consuming and laborious and expert dismantling for power washing is expensive and causes too much disruption.
ESD says its solution is both quick and cost effective.Using the latest specialist stair climbing machines together with specially developed tooling, skilled technicians swiftly get to grips with dirty escalators, removing years of grime from all surfaces and leaving a bright clean finish that customers notice.According to the company, the process takes hours not days and can all be completed out of hours with no disruption to service.
ESD covers the whole of the UK, and the Republic of Ireland.
