New dustpan-free spill kit
April 1st 2007

A new compact and disposable spill kit is the latest clean-up solution introduced by 3M. The kit has been designed to increase the speed and efficiency of clearing up spills, and to improve the safety of employees.

The carry box, which doubles as a dustpan, contains a pair of protective gloves and two pieces of 3M Sorbent material that can soak up 1.5 litres of liquid. The box also contains a brush that has been specifically created for clearing up broken glass and debris.

The dustpan has a locking mechanism to keep sorbent, glass, debris and liquid together safely.

When the spill has been cleaned up, the dustpan can be placed into the integral disposal bag, tied up and labelled as hazardous waste if necessary. The kits are available in packs of four, in highly visible dispensers that can be wall or shelf-mounted for easy access.
