PHS has solution up its sleeve
October 1st 2007

Designed to do away with the problems of odours and blockages that are common place in urinals, PHS Washrooms says its Eco-shield is an environmentally friendly solution to urinal sleeve technology

The eco-shield features Nurazyme bio-block, PHS Washrooms’ environmentally friendly bio-block that includes natural enzymes and friendly bacteria which consume urine, preventing the build up of uric salt, the main cause of blockages and odour.

Tested and proven to contain more active bugs than other urinal sleeve products on the market, (Independently tested by International Laboratory Services July 2007) the shield technology is based on a one-way valve that allows liquids through but then prevents odours coming back.

The product has a new design which not only prevents extraneous waste from entering pipes but which has no extensions of its own which can fall off and cause blockages. It also has a re-usable unit and biodegradable Nurazyme bio-block, eliminating the need for wasteful disposal of the Eco-shield unit at each service. Nurazyme bio-block is replaced at every service ensuring continued performance. The Eco-shield is designed to work in conjunction with PHS Washrooms’ other services and products including water management systems.

“We’re absolutely delighted to once again be at the forefront of developments in the market,” says PHS Washrooms’MD Ian Osborne.“That we’ve been able to meet our customers’ needs for environmentally friendly and competitively priced products is testament to the work that has gone into Eco-shield.” Eco-shield is also supported by PHS Washrooms’ 24-7 priority service and Micrakleen urinal cleaner.

PHS Washrooms is part of the PHS Group, which is made up of five operating divisions which offer a diverse portfolio of workplace products and services. For further information visit www.phs.co.uk/washrooms or call the number opposite.
