Cleans up the walkways December 1st 2004 Schmidt Swingo sweepers are keeping the Red Way footpaths and cycle ways of Milton Keynes clear of litter and leaves.
A network of narrow Red Way routes criss-cross the city and provide a convenient alternative to commuters and shoppers using private cars. However, where the Red Ways cross roads using bridges and subways, height is often restricted.
The Schmidt Swingo 250 is compact enough to negotiate the restricted headroom. It is just 4.6m long, 1.3m wide and has selectable four-wheel steer for maximum manoeuvrability. It is powered by a 60kW (2.8l) VM Euro3 diesel engine with very low emissions.
Its hopper has a capacity of 1.8m3, and there are clean water tanks and re-circulation tanks of 190l capacity. More articles from Schmidt UK Ltd: |
