SUPER LOO CONTRACT August 1st 2004 The task of cleaning Trafalgar Squares new super-loos has been awarded to OCS Cleaning & Support Services.
The appointment, by London Mayor Ken Livingstone, follows a 24m pedestrianisation scheme to turn the square into one of Europes great meeting places.
It is predicted that up to 90 000 visitors a week will visit the loos, so OCS has recruited a team of attendants who speak at least two languages. They have been trained as fire wardens, first-aiders and tourist guides, with the company recognising that its going to be a challenging 12h/day, 365 days a year contract.
