SHORTEST IN CLASS
December 1st 2003

A new Challenger scrubber dryer, whose short length and good handling qualities allow it to clean large areas quickly, has been introduced by Walter-Broadley Machines. It joins a comprehensive line-up of scrubber dryers that comprises small pedestrian, large pedestrian and ride-on ranges 17 machines in total. The latest addition, the Challenger 641/801, tested successfully by one of the UKs leading food retailers, is the shortest scrubber dryer in the 800mm class. The company claims this gives it an unrivalled manoeuvrability, allowing it to clean large areas in a short space of time. Offered with a choice of 641 or 801mm cleaning width, the machine has a powerful twin-motor scrubbing head that tackles the toughest cleaning jobs on both industrial and decorative floors. The robust scrubbing action, combined with large 100l tanks, add to its heavy-duty performance. A water economiser reduces cleaning fluid consumption by up to 50%, increasing productivity as fewer refills are required, while a manual override allows extra fluid to be applied when necessary to heavily soiled areas. The Challenger 641/801 has uncomplicated controls for ease of use and rapid learning and a battery-box design that ensures quick battery changes, without tools, for double shifts. The machine is backed by cost-effective service options.
