Effective factory cleaning October 1st 2004 Pittards Leather, leading manufacturer of technically advanced leather for principal sports and leisure brands including Adidas,New Balance,Merrell and Puma is using Kaivac’s KaiZen machines to clean extensive areas of its Leeds based factory, after cleaning contractor Swift Hygiene Services won a major contract to work with them.
The workers communal changing areas were becoming badly soiled, as a result of the heavy production of wastes from the leather production processing, at Pittards shoe and leather goods division. Pittards was finding it increasingly difficult to keep these areas completely clear of dirt and was soon looking for a professional cleaning contractor to help it.
Impressed by the knowledge of local cleaning contractors Swift Hygiene Services and their awareness of new cleaning break throughs such as Kaivac’s ‘no touch cleaning’ system. A demonstration of the powerful KaiZen at the Pittards plant was enough to convince it that Swift Hygiene Services and the technology it was using would best meet its cleaning needs.
The KaiZen is suited to dealing with tough ingrained dirt and grime, as it combines an indoor pressure washer, chemical injection and wet vacuum technologies in one single platform. It can effectively and hygienically clean all surfaces through a simple process of spraying cleaning solutions onto them, blasting grime to the floor with the high-pressure jet fixture and using the vacuum device to completely remove all dirt and bacteria. It also has the added advantage that workers no longer have to touch contaminated surfaces.
David Holdsworth, commercial director, Swift Hygiene Services comments,“We have been impressed by the performance of the KaiZen which is fast, provides great results and is less back breaking for our cleaning staff. It has also enabled us to build a great rapport with Pittards as the results have more than exceeded their expectations”. More articles from Kaivac UK Ltd: |
