Low sound vacuuming
February 1st 2004

The GD 2000 from Nilfisk-Advance has a sound level of just 46dB, that makes it suitable for day time cleaning operations in places such as libraries, hospitals and care homes and anywhere that is noise sensitive. The product features a patented sound reduction system that incorporates two sound barriers - one in the main body of the machine and another in the motor cassette - to trap sound and so reduce output. At low speed sound drops further to 44dB (tested to BS5415).

The GD 2000 has suction power of up to 300W at the nozzle, the filtration system includes pre- and post-fan HEPA 13 filters. Other filtration options are a 1200cm2 sack, multi-layer paper, foam, motor protection and foam exhaust filters. For DIY servicing, the motor is housed in a compact cassette that can be removed and replaced easily by the operator, saving costly downtime. It has a 15m cable to reduce stops to reconnect to the electricity supply and a 1.9m hose allows a comfortable operating position.
