High performance in the pink February 1st 2010 The Lanes Group has purchased
a custom-built DISAB Centurion
High Performance Vacuum unit.
The unit vacuums at a super
fast 8500 ft2 per
minute, compared
with the 800 cfm
operation of
standard jet vac
tankers.
The 'monster
machine' can pull
10 tonnes of material through its
hose system in just 10 minutes.
Lanes bought the unit to
manage an existing contract for
lime powder removal at one of
Europe's largest steel producers.
"Because it is capable of
removing a huge variety of waste
streams, from powders, ash and
granular materials to sludges,
aggregates and ore, the
Centurion is suitable for a whole
range of
industries like
steel, cement,
power, heating,
paper and
pulp – as well
as wastewater
treatment
plants, pumping stations and
pretty much any industrial tanks,"
says Ian Sullivan, manager of
Lanes' north east depot.The unit
is equally effective for both wet
and dry materials. More articles from Lanes Group Plc: |
