Colourful carpets
June 1st 2009 Gerflor vinyl floorcoverings have
taken over a floor of the South
Hants NHS Hospital during a
major refurbishment.The floor
has been transformed by Care UK
into the Southampton NHS
Treatment Centre and, in order to
distinguish it from the rest of the
hospital, architect, Quorum
Partnership, has developed an
eye-catching environment using
Gerflor products.
Colour accents the main
corridors, offices and waiting
areas.Other products used
include Taralay Uni Comfort,
Taralay Initial,Mipolam
homogeneous flooring and Nera
Contract Wood. For the wet areas,
toilets and walk in showers, the
architects specified Tarasafe Ultra
and Taradouche slip-resistant
products.
The floorcoverings use VHD
(Very High Density) foam backing
to minimise noise transfer and
give underfoot support.The
Protecsol surface treatment offers
a 'no polish for life' solution to
