Help or hindrance? October 1st 2004 Choosing the right dispensing system for your specific needs makes all the difference. Dave Pindar of The Buther Company explains why
Most Cleaning Managers are familiar with all the benefits of dispensing systems: major economies of time and money as well as improved cleaning performance. But how many managers actually dedicate enough time, thought and consideration to selecting the best system for their particular premises and specific cleaning schedules. Spending that extra time at the beginning will reap rewards later onwhen you know you have the right system for your specific needs.
The starting point is your building. Is it short or tall? Fat or thin? Or a conglomeration of small buildings? Would the dispensing system be installed at a central point? Is there enough space for a central system and adequate storage for the superconcentrates? Or would your premises be more suited to a versatile, portable system which can be fixed to a cleaning trolley? How frequent is your cleaning schedule? Daily? Weekly? Hourly? How about your product range? Do you prefer to use a limited number of products? Or do you like to work with a broad range of specialised products? Do you need a system which fills both trigger sprays and scrubber dryers? Can you obtain your superconcentrate products in a ready to use format should you need to? And last but not least, do your products give you the results youre looking for?
Safety, of course, is another key issue. Superconcentrates, dedicated buttons and trigger sprays should be colour coded with similar labels and identical icons for easy understanding and avoidance of accidents by non-English speaking staff. Your selected system should be lockable and pilferage free. And finally, your aim must be to achieve high performance cleaning results, substantial in use cost savings and without having to purchase massive supplies to buy at a good price. One on the system, one on the shelf is the Butchers motto.
As one of the initiators of dilution control in the 1980s, The Butcher Company has both considerable understanding and experience of the needs of the Cleaning Manager. Well aware that nothing is black and white, we not only have two dilution control systems but also combine dilution control with bulk products. Were aware there could be times when the water supply lets you down; the space isnt available or you may not have the inclination to use your dispensing system.
The Command Center III is sturdily designed with an easy push button operation and configured to take up to eight separate superconcentrates, it incorporates many features to make chemical dispensing safer, quicker and operator friendly. Butchers new generation dispensing system, Outpost is a compact, versatile and can fit almost anywhere including a cleaning trolley. It dispenses multiple products and at different fill rates for safe, convenient dilution for scrubber dryers, mop bucket and trigger spray. Naturally, quality of the dispensing systems is reflected in the chemicals which include such superconcentrates as the popular and very successful low cost in use floor care range as well as washroom and heavy duty cleaners.
The Butcher Company place great emphasis on ensuring that cleaning teams
are thoroughly trained in the how to use both systems and chemicals to ensure that all perform to the maximum. Seek some advice. Dedicate that extra time and effort to ensuring your system is best for you. More articles from The Butcher Company: |
