Recent press articles in the Janitorial market-place would have you believe that "scare-mongering and over-exaggerated claims over the use of pDCB para Dichlorobenzene have been driving some customers into panic and uncertainty over its future"

Of course, we can only assume this refers to Bio-Productions' press campaign, which was launched on March 1st at this year's Cleaning Show, to bring to the public's attention, the hidden risks associated with pDCB.

Bio-Productions have been making a safer alternative to pDCB for 12 years and has never manufactured products made of para Dichlorobenzene, for the reasons stated in our promotion. The fact is that the legislation being introduced at the end of October only confirms the risks from exposure to pDCB and ensures that these risks are indicated on the packaging. Had other suppliers taken the decision to cease production of pDCB formulated products, and offered something which would not present a health risk, or cause blockages in urinal pipework then our press activities would not have been necessary.

Ask yourself this. Is it because these companies are genuinely concerned for your health that they now offer alternatives to pDCB, or could it be something to do with losing business?

Bio-Productions have a free sample pack of blocks for you to try, together with information sheets and a comparison table explaining the features and benefits of the different blocks we manufacture. There are 2 types of non pDCB blocks available including Toss Blocks, which contain a unique biological cleaning action.

When comparing urinal blocks, we would advise you to study the small print in the adverts, as well as on the pack.
