Chemical dispensing made easy October 1st 2004 Brightwell is not a assembly plant for chemical dispensing systems. It designs and manufactures in-house with the ability to tailor them with logos and branding
Not wanting to be just another dispenser manufacturer, Brightwell believes that innovation is the key to remaining at the top of the dispensing equipment market.Having the ability to design and manufacture the products in-house gives Brightwell control over the whole process. Starting as a small family business in 1947, Brightwell has evolved into a leading European independent manufacturer of dispensers for soaps, gels, creams, liquid chemicals, detergents and paper products. Brightwell exports more than 50% of products to over 60 countries around the globe.
The R&D department uses 3-D CAD technology to design novel dispensing solutions. Ideas come both from within Brightwell and from the market. The designs are then made straight into prototypes.Once these are satisfactory and ready to be put into production Brightwell send them to its sister company Ferryfield Mouldings. The factory has moulds made of the dispenser and the uses the latest injection moulding machines in production. With regard to electronic dispensing systems Brightwell also manufactures all electronic systems as well. The PCB assembly complies with LVD and EMC regulations and both Ferryfield and Brightwell are ISO9002:1994 and ISO9001:2000.This includes the design and development division. As a result of in-house capabilities Brightwell now makes over 90% of the key electronic and plastic components needed for dispenser production. Brightwell also has the ability to customise dispensers with logos and designs with inhouse printing equipment.
Product selection – a look at what Brightwell offers Brightwell’s Modular soap dispensers improve washroom hygiene for both industrial and commercial customers. The Modular soap dispenser using a universal enclosure can be fitted with a variety of interchangeable pumps, allowing for the delivery of liquid, spray or foam soap. The preferred soap can be dispensed using a range of ‘plug and play’ components including a refillable reservoir, disposable bottle and disposable pouch. The Modular soap dispenser is also available as an electronic ‘touch free’ version, allowing for hands free operation, thus reducing cross contamination.
The cover will lock automatically when it is closed and can be selected to open with the use of either a push button or the supplied key.The cover also acts as the pusher, eliminating the need for an arm lever and any unique components. The interchangeable pump has the ability to be locked into place to prevent tampering and the dispenser is provided with a twoyear guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship.
Recent developments in chemical dispenser design include the Smart Pump and the Super C.The Smart Pump is able to draw and dispense product from any size container and uses a straightforward lever system, which automatically delivers the correct amount of chemical concentrate into water in a trigger bottle, sink or bucket. The wide choice of shot sizes (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30ml), can be easily selected by use of a key. Several Smart Pumps can easily be put up on a wall in a row, and be used together with an off floor container hanging systems. No water or electrical connections are required to install Smart Pump. It has sophisticated seals with a wide chemical compatibility, and has the added benefit that it may be used to inject dishwasher and laundry products into machines.
The Super C concentrate dosing system provides ready to use chemicals at point of use, for a host of applications including hard surface cleaners, floor maintenance chemicals and pot washing detergents. Safety is guaranteed as the bottle unit only doses when the bottle is in place, and sink and bucket dose units will not operate until enabled. The Super C features the option of having a lockable cabinet for high value chemicals.
For large scale, automatic dosing needs, the Brightstar Unit range has been developed. The Highflow, Standard and Mixed pumps range of automatic dosing systems have been developed for large scale commercial washing machines and dishwasher units.Using new electronic components, customers have complete flexibility in how they use their dosing units. Also, BrightStar units are PC-connectable.
This means even complex programs are easy to set up, and valuable data on chemical consumption can be traced and analysed.
The Microplus II and Powerplus II and its re-engineered Battery Operated Drain Doser (BODD) and Mains Operated Drain Doser (MODD and MODD 200) are Brightwell’s low-end dishwashing products. The MODD II and BODD II units have been specifically designed for use in modern commercial kitchens, as well as being used in outdoor and damp applications. Both are controlled by a real time clock and offer up to four timed doses and the MODD 200 up to eight. Programming is via an external membrane keypad with security access protection.
Brightwell’s easy-to-use operating system is viewed via an alphanumeric display. Timing entries can be selected to operate on any combination of days of the week and additional preset operations are available for every day, weekdays only, and weekends only.
The Microplus II provides automatic dosing of a single chemical, particularly useful for the delivery of detergent into small glasswashers, dishwashers and even carwashes. It is available with one or two inputs, for single and dual source applications, and in two configurations: Speed or timed – to provide top up and initial charges and continuous or cyclical operation.
The Powerplus offers automatic dosing of two products into single tank, single cycle dishwashers, providing speed and timed controlled dispensing of a detergent initial charge, a detergent top up charge and a rinse charge. The initial charge can be selected to operate on power up or in ‘Auto’ mode and can also be disabled if required.
Programming is straightforward and achieved using an external membrane with security access protection. More articles from Brightwell Dispensers Ltd: |
