Innovation award

Winterhalter's new Energy concept has won the FCSI award for innovative new products at the Society's annual conference 2007.

Energy is available for Winterhalter's GS502 and GS515 pass through dishwashers and is designed to reduce energy consumption and running costs, whilst improving working conditions for staff.

The FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International) judges'criteria for award-winning products are their level of innovation and customer benefit.

In conventional warewashers waste steam escapes at the end of every cycle,when the hood is opened and clean dishes taken out.

However,the GS 502 and GS 515 Energy models make use of this steam and convert it into energy.

The steam is extracted from the interior during the dishwashing process when the hood is closed. It is fed through an air/water heat exchange unit, which uses the steam to heat the cold water feed.
